Quiet time in the Stable is soon to change
Apr 19, 2011
The Stable has been quiet over the last few months with most of the team out having breaks or on the way up again.
Brian has used this quieter time to concentrate on the Yearling Sales both in New Zealand & Australia. Brian purchased 7 lovely types for clients at these sales & is thrilled with the new additions.
" It was great to have the time this year to go through so many inspections at the sales. Both myself & Mark (Dr Mark McGarry of McGarry Equine Veterinary Services) inspected over 400 yearlings at both Karaka & Inglis Premier in Melbourne, all colts at the Brisbane Bloodstock Sale & 150 plus at the recent QTIS 600 sales at Magic Millions" he said
"My goal this year was to get some better bred horses into the Stable & I believe that I have done so. The Zabeel & Savabeel colts & the Encost de Lago filly from Karaka are cracking types & will be broken in over there & the Holy Roman Emperor, Husson & Choisir colts from Melbourne Premier are outstanding types. I am really looking forward to seeing them in the Stables"
Brian purchased a Jet Spur filly for clients at the recent QTIS 600 Sales at the Gold Coast. This strong filly is the first Australian Foal from an imported Nureyev mare. "There is plenty of stamina through this filly's damline which is something to look forward to when the 3yo fillies races come along. The Jet Spur's are flying at the moment & this filly will only improve with time" he said.
